Description
Fucus de Ebers has an algae, an abundant weed on the rocky shores of the temperate and cold seas of the northern hemisphere. It was the original source of iodine, discovered in 1812.
Properties and benefits of Fucus
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommends its traditional use as an adjunct to low-calorie diets to help lose weight in overweight adults, after the presence of serious conditions has been excluded by a doctor. The abundance of mineral salts makes fucus a remineralizing plant. Due to its mucilage content, it exerts a satiating effect on the appetite, and it has been proven that fucus and other brown algae inhibit α-amylase and α-glucosidase, essential enzymes for the assimilation of some carbohydrates.
How to take Fucus?
It is recommended to take half an hour before lunch and dinner, with plenty of water.
Composition of Fucus
