Description
L-Lysine from Douglas is an essential amino acid for crosslinking collagen. This process is important for the resistance and elasticity of collagen and elastin, present in all connective tissues and the walls of blood vessels.
Lysine is a precursor amino acid to L-Carnitine, which is necessary for fatty acid metabolism and energy production in skeletal and cardiac muscle. It is involved in the oxidation of fatty acids as part of the transport of carnitine.
