Properties and benefits of Citronella Essential Oil

Originating from India, citronella is a herbaceous plant belonging to the grass family. It can reach a height of 1.5m. With an erect and hollow stem, from which an underground rhizome emerges.

It is a species of herb native to Africa and Asia, commonly known as lemongrass, whose lemon scent is most characteristic of it. The leaves and base of this tender perennial are used to make tea, soups, and different types of curries. Its distinctive citrus flavor balances the flavor of hot chili peppers used in Southeast Asian cuisine and contributes to the multi-layered and elaborate dishes typical of Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.

How to take Citronella Essential Oil?

It is recommended to always take diluted, 1-2 drops, in 250 g of food (juice, infusion, salad, ...). Maximum 3 times a day.

Precautions

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Storage conditions

Keep in a cool, dry place and protected from light.
