Description
Evening primrose oil from HCF is a food supplement based on evening primrose recommended to reduce cholesterol levels, improves the response of the immune system, relieves the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome and menopause. Reduces high blood pressure.
Properties and benefits of Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil comes from evening primrose or primrose (Oenothera biennis and Oenothera lamarkiana), a plant native to North America. Evening primrose seeds are subjected to cold pressure, obtaining an oil that stands out for its properties
healing.
This oil is very rich in polyunsaturated essential fatty acids: linoleic acid (70%) and gamma-linolenic acid (10%), both from the series of Omega 6 acids. These fatty acids are important precursors of various cellular mediators essential for the correct functioning and stability of the membranes of the cells of our body, the development of the nervous and hormonal systems and the regulation of coagulation processes.
Essential fatty acids, since they cannot be synthesized by our body, must be incorporated into the diet. Linoleic acid in addition to being present in evening primrose oil, we can find it in vegetable oils such as sunflower and grape as well as in dairy products, animal fats, seeds and nuts.
On the other hand, when the diet lacks these essential fatty acids, it can generate conditions in the heart, circulation, skin, immune system, reproductive system and nervous system causing brain dysfunctions.
Composition of Evening Primrose Oil
