Optima Naturals' Açaí promotes the metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids. Açaí is a palm tree common in the region of the Amazon River estuary whose fruit is a blue-black berry, more rarely green, spherical and of reduced size comparable to that of a blueberry.
Much appreciated by the local populations, who make it a wide food use. It is considered a "super food" by virtue of the wide availability and variety of nutrients. Açaí is a good source of monounsaturated fatty acids, in particular oleic and palmitoleic acids (fatty acids that cannot be synthesized by the body), as well as precursors of vitamin A.
Açaí has a high content of flavonoids, among which the concentration of 2 anthocyanidins (cyanidine-3-O-ß-glucoside and rutinoside) is particularly relevant. Flavonoids have shown not only the ability to terminate the reactions of formation of free radicals, but also the involvement in the protection of biological antioxidants by favorably modulating the activity of some enzymes involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats.
It is recommended to take before meals with a little water or other drink.
Do not exceed the indicated daily dose. Keep out of the reach of children under three years. Food supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
