Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is one of the most used plants together with cleansing-type diets. Its main component is silymarin, a mixture of flavanolignans whose main components are silybin, silicristin and silidianin.

Betusil includes good levels of artichoke (Cynara scolymus), black radish (Raphanus sativus) and green tea (Camellia sinensis), 3 of the most recommended plants to use in conjunction with milk thistle.
