Properties and benefits of Fennel Essential Oil
Aromatic plant up to 250 cm tall and belonging to the Umbelliferae family. The first information available regarding Fennel tells of its use in Egypt more than 3,000 years ago as a remedy for poor digestion, although there is also an ancient Indian tradition that qualifies it as a pearl of aphrodisiacs, being part of potions and preparations supposedly exciting.
Its flavor is similar to that of celery, although with a more marked and very aromatic aniseed taste, especially if eaten raw. The fruit is very small, elongated and gives off a pleasant anise odor, so it is used as an aromatic condiment. Its pleasant flavor and distinguished perfume make fennel a curious vegetable that can be appetizing to include in the regular diet.
