Description
About Nature's Patchouli essential oil is 100% pure and natural obtained by steaming the leaves and twigs of Pogostemon cablin. Ideal to use as a food flavoring.
Properties and benefits of Patchouli essential oil
Patchouli is an aromatic shrub of tropical forests with large leaves, branches and fragrant flowers. The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the dried and fermented leaves. Its reputed aphrodisiac perfume in Asian countries and protector of Indian carpets, it was in bad taste in the 19th century because it referred to ladies of small virtue in France. It is distinguished by its rich aroma, woody and nuanced with notes of incense.
How to take Patchouli essential oil?
It is advisable to add 1 drop to a dish for 5 people (never exceed 2%). Always use the essential oil diluted in a suitable support (example: vegetable oil, honey ...).
Soluble in alcohol, fatty substances (vegetable oils and butters) and emulsions (creams). Insoluble in water. It is however possible to use it as a mixture in these types of products but pre-mixed with Solubol (in this case it is necessary to put 4 times more solubol than essential oil).
Precautions
Always use essential oil diluted in vegetable oil or another suitable medium. Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, in children under 6 years old, or in subjects with asthma or allergies to one of its components. Consult a specialist for all other indications.
