Description

Thyme thymol from Éolésens is an essential oil with a powerful, pungent and slightly flowery aroma, obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops of the plant. This oil is characterized by favoring the respiratory system.

Properties and benefits of Thyme thymol

Originally from the Mediterranean basin, thyme is grown everywhere on dry, rocky and sunny ground. This small shrub of 30 to 40 cm consists of a woody, rough and tortuous stem which develops in grayish branches composed of tufts of small opposite leaves with rolled edges, of a grayish green and small pinkish flowers. The green parts contain tannins, bitter principles, flavonoids and oil in interesting quantities.

Thyme thymol essential oil helps fight colds and is traditionally used to aid digestion.

How to take Thyme thymol?

It is recommended to take 1 drop once a day, 4 consecutive days maximum to renew if necessary. To be incorporated into culinary preparations. Mix in honey and dilute in a hot drink.

Precautions

Attention in external use: very dermocaustic essential oil, aggressive on the skin and the mucous membranes. Internally, it must be diluted largely in a fatty oil. Reserved for adults.

Keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for children under 6, pregnant and breastfeeding women. Not suitable for people hypersensitive to essential oils. Risk of irritation in its pure state.
