Niacinate-400 from Douglas Laboratories, vitamin B3 known as niacin, is involved in the regulation of blood lipoprotein and cholesterol levels, as well as the maintenance of vascular tone.
Properties and benefits of Niacinate-400
The B3 in the form of niacin causes a vasodilator effect of redness, heat and itching, due to the release of histamine by mast cells, starting 20 minutes after taking it and lasting up to an hour and a half. Inositol hexaniacinate tablets provided by Douglas Laboratories, (six molecules of niacin bound to inositol) contain 515 mg of inositol hexaniacinate providing 400 mg of niacin. This ester of niacin and inositol eliminates the blushing effects often seen with high doses of pure niacin.
