Organic Salvia Infusion

Description

Sage (Salvia Officinalis) is a wild and aromatic plant native to the Mediterranean area well known for its traditional uses in health care.

Indication

Its active principles, such as rosmarinic acid, are recognized by the European Pharmacopoeia and are attributed antioxidant, digestive and antibacterial properties. It is a plant with multiple properties that can be ingested as a food supplement or infused. It can also be applied topically, in creams or lotions.

Some support food supplements during perimenopause and menopause contain sage extract, since it helps to alleviate hot flashes and other discomforts. Due to its emmenagogue properties, it also helps regulate menstruation. In topical use, in the oral cavity (as an infusion or extract for gargles), it is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic thanks to the components of its essential oil. In this way, it helps to soften the throat and irritated oral mucosa.

Also, sage helps regulate digestion and is useful for relieving mild dyspepsia. The prolonged use of the extract of this plant, or in high doses, should be avoided, since it could have unwanted effects.

Intake mode

Fill a cup with hot water, place the bag inside the container and let it rest for 5 minutes.
