Description
Black Chia raw seeds from Physalis comes from the Salvia hispanica plant, cultivated over 4000 years ago in central and southern Mexico, who were already aware of its many properties and applications.
Indication
The name 'chia', derived from the fatty word in the native language, is explained by the fact that the chia seed contains in large quantity (up to 25%) alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an acid essential omega-3 fat which contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterolemia (the beneficial effect is obtained by the daily consumption of 2 g of ALA). The presence of soluble fibers allows the seeds to absorb up to 7 times their volume in water.
Intake mode
It is recommended to add to bread and pastry, muesli for breakfast or salad for lunch and dinner. Ground, add them to your smoothies in combination with (juice) fruit, in (vegetable) milk or yogurt. When chia seeds are immersed in water, they form a gelatinous substance that can be used as the basis for many recipes. 5 to 15 g per day.
Precautions
Ensure a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Limit the amount of chia seeds used to 15 g per day.
Storage conditions
Keep cool, dry and protected from light.
