Turmeric from Purasans is a spice commonly used in Asian cuisine and increasingly used in Dutch cuisine. It tastes like curry and gives dishes a yellow color. Turmeric is also called 'yellow root' because it is the yellow root of Curcuma Longa.
Properties and benefits of Turmeric
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is native to India and Asia. It is a plant related to ginger that has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine due to its beneficial properties. The orange-yellow powder comes from the root, contains curcuminoids and has a stimulating effect on the liver, digestion and flexible joints.
How to take Turmeric?
It is advisable to use in the preparation of curries, dressings and sauces. Mix or shake ½ teaspoon of turmeric in your smoothies, rice or soy drinks and use the product in different dishes.
