Description
Celnat Bio spelled flakes are pre-steamed and are practical and easy to use as an accompaniment or added to soups, gratins, in the batter to make vegetable pancakes, cakes and breads.
Indication
Spelled belongs to the same botanical genus as wheat and is an ancient variety of it. Its composition is close to that of soft wheat. The spelled was the basis of the diet of the Romans who called it "farrum". It was his name that later gave rise to the words "far" and "flour".
Spelled is a hardy cereal from dry mountainous areas with a harsh climate.
The spelled grain casing is particularly thick and serves as protection. Thanks to this robustness and this low requirement, this cereal lends itself particularly well to organic farming.
The flakes are made up of whole grains that have been cleaned and husked and then steamed. A source of protein, these spelled flakes are rich in fiber.
Intake mode
It is recommended to take 4 tablespoons per person and cook for 5 minutes in 100 ml of boiling water. Let it swell off the heat for 2 minutes. Otherwise, add the flakes directly to the preparation of your salty or sweet recipes such as gratins, soups, vegetable pancakes, donuts, cakes, cookies, breads...
