Salud Viva Eco Extracted Sunflower Protein Flakes are an organic vegetable protein extracted from sunflower protein that stands out for its aromatic nutty flavor. Its shape and texture provide an ideal substitute for meat to prepare bolognese, lasagna or Chili sin carne.

Indication

For the production of these flakes, organic sunflower protein is mixed with water to create a pasty mass. This mass is heated and pushed under high pressure through a tube. Coming out of the tube, the heated sunflower protein mass expands, resulting in its characteristic shape. 100 g of extracted sunflower flakes (3.5 oz) is combined with 250 ml of water. Therefore, about 40g (1.4oz) can replace 150g (5.3oz) of ground beef. These extracted sunflower flakes contribute to a healthy and balanced diet. The dishes have fewer calories and less fat.

Intake mode

It is recommended to use for the preparation of a vegan meat substitute, briefly soak the extracted sunflower flakes in lukewarm water or vegetable broth and drain in a strainer before using them again. 100 g of extracted sunflower flakes is combined with 250 ml of water. Therefore, about 40g can replace 150g of ground meat.
