Description
It is a unique blend of sugars that provides a quick energy boost, but still provides energy for a long period of time.
Indication
- The ideal energy gel for exercising when it's hot. Contains additional minerals that are lost during sweating. With electrolytes for optimal hydration.
- Furthermore, glucose and fructose use different transport systems when absorbed by the body. This means that, in total, more carbohydrates can enter the bloodstream simultaneously when glucose and fructose are consumed together, compared to when only one of the two sugars is consumed.
- It is ideal for resistance and strenuous exercises in hot climates and for athletes with high sweating rates. Electrolytes (sodium and potassium) are added to replace electrolytes lost through sweating. Sodium intake also helps ensure that moisture is better retained in the body and stimulates thirst.
Intake mode
1 gel 10 minutes before is recommended. For 1 to 2 gels per hour of exercise. It can also be dissolved in 350 ml of water to prepare an isotonic thirst quencher with a fresh lime flavor.
