What is the Kaneka patent?

Properties and benefits of Ubiquinol CoQ-10

CoQ10 cycles in its oxidized (“Ubiquinone”) and reduced (“Ubiquinol”) forms; It is a simple cycle: ubiquinone takes electrons and becomes Ubiquinol. Ubiquinone has to be converted to Ubiquinol to be absorbed by the cells of the intestine (enterocytes). Ubiquinol releases the electrons and becomes Ubiquinone again. This is important because electron transfer is a fundamental step in the production of energy in the cell, in the regeneration of antioxidants in the cell membrane, and in the construction of other biological molecules.
