It is recommended to take preferably after meals.
Precautions
Excessive consumption of hawthorn can cause respiratory and coronary depression.
Excessive consumption of garlic can cause gastrointestinal irritation, allergic reactions and can increase the risk of bleeding.
Garlic is contraindicated in case of active, pre- and post-operative bleeding and in thrombocytopenia. Vitamin E and vitamin C should be avoided in case of angioplasty.
Excessive consumption of vitamin E can cause bleeding.
Excessive selenium intake can cause symptoms such as hair loss, white streaks on the nails, fatigue, irritability, and metallic taste.
Due to the presence of hawthorn, it should not be associated with cardiotonic heterosides, beta-blockers, hypotensive agents, or with benzodiazepines.
Due to the presence of garlic, it should not be associated with anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, oral contraceptives and drugs metabolized by the liver.
