Gla Borraja Onagra by CFN is a nutritional supplement rich in omega 6 fatty acids with multiple benefits in the body.
Properties and benefits of Gla Borage Evening Primrose
Gammalinolenic acid (GLA) favors the formation of DGLA, an immediate precursor of prostaglandin E1, a type of "good" prostaglandin and, therefore, to avoid the imbalance that exists between it and prostaglandin E2, since the latter continue to be synthesized partially from dietary arachidonic acid (comes from meats, dairy and eggs), an imbalance that would cause certain manifestations observed in the event of a deficiency in essential fatty acids.
GLA has been very popular among women, due to the fact that a correct balance in omega 6 fatty acids can help the occupation of part of the estrogenic receptors, decreasing the estrogenic activity causing the disorders typical of premenstrual syndrome.
As we have previously said, GLA is a precursor of prostaglandin E1, inhibitor of platelet aggregation, vasodilator, inhibitor of inflammatory reactions and activator of T lymphocyte function.
GLA deficiency can cause atopic eczema, skin aging, etc. For this reason, it has been associated with aging since, at an older age, the enzyme delta-6-desaturase can decrease its activity and affect membrane lipids and prostaglandin production.
